Water Heater Repair & Installation for South Charlotte Homeowners
No hot water is the single most common call we take, and it is not always a dead heater. A tripped high-limit, a failed thermocouple, a burnt element or a stuck mixing valve all present the same way at the tap and cost a fraction of a replacement. We diagnose before we quote a new unit.
Repair or replace
Under about eight years old with a repairable fault, repair almost always wins. Past twelve, leaking from the tank body, or on its second major part, replacement is the honest answer — and we will show you why rather than just assert it.
Tank and tankless
We install both. A tank is cheaper up front, simpler to service and fine for most households. Tankless costs more to install — it usually needs a gas line upsized and a different vent — but gives endless hot water, takes up a fraction of the space and typically lasts twice as long. Which one is right depends on your peak demand, not on which is newer.
We are trained on Navien, Rinnai and Bradford White equipment and stock the common failure parts for all three, which is why a lot of our repairs finish on the first visit.
Installed properly
Every install gets a new expansion tank where code requires it, a correctly sized T&P discharge, a drain pan and a shutoff you can actually reach. We haul the old unit away and register the warranty for you.

Water Heater Repair & Installation — questions we get asked
How long should a water heater last?
A conventional tank runs 8–12 years in this area; hard water shortens that noticeably if it is never flushed. A well-maintained tankless unit will often go 20 years. If yours is over ten and has started needing parts, budget for replacement rather than another repair.
Is tankless worth it?
If you regularly run out of hot water, want the floor space back, or plan to stay in the house long enough to see the efficiency back, yes. If your current tank keeps up fine and you are moving in three years, a good tank unit is the better value. We will tell you which situation you are in.
My water heater is leaking. Is that urgent?
If it is dripping from a fitting or the T&P valve, it is a repair. If water is coming from the body of the tank itself, the tank has failed and it will get worse without warning — shut off the water supply to it and call us the same day.
