24/7 Emergency Plumber for South Charlotte Homeowners

Some plumbing can wait until Tuesday. A burst supply line, sewage coming up through a floor drain, a water heater emptying itself into a garage, or the smell of gas cannot. Call us and a licensed plumber will talk you through making it safe while we are on the way.

Before we arrive

  1. Shut the water off. At the fixture if you can reach the stop; at the main if you cannot. Know where your main shutoff is before you need it.
  2. Kill the power to any area where water is near outlets or an electrical panel.
  3. Turn off the water heater — gas valve to pilot, or the breaker for an electric unit — if the supply to it is off.
  4. Move what you can and photograph the damage for your insurer before you clean up.

Anything actively causing damage, anything that has left you without water or a working toilet, and anything involving gas. If you are not sure, call and describe it — we will tell you honestly whether it can wait for a normal appointment, which is usually cheaper for you.

What's included

  • Sewage backups
  • Water heater failures and flooding

Questions

24/7 Emergency Plumber — questions we get asked

Where is my main water shutoff?

Usually where the supply enters the house — in a garage, a basement, a crawlspace wall, or a utility closet — and there is also a meter valve at the street. Find both now and label them; in an actual emergency you do not want to be looking.

Do you charge more for emergency calls?

After-hours and weekend work carries a call-out rate, and we tell you what it is on the phone before we dispatch. There are no surprises added afterwards.

My pipe froze but has not burst. What now?

Open the tap it feeds so pressure has somewhere to go, and warm the pipe gently with a hair dryer or towels — never a flame. If you cannot find the frozen section or it does not thaw, call us before it splits.
