Not a franchise. Your neighbours.
We are a family-owned company based in Fort Mill, and we have been doing this for over 25 years. The person who quotes your job is usually the person who does it.
- Licensed in both Carolinas. NC and SC license separately — we hold both, so the state line is not a boundary.
- Free estimates, upfront pricing. You see the number before anything starts, and it does not move.
- We tell you when not to spend. If a repair is the right call, we repair it — even though replacing pays us more.
- Manufacturer trained. Which is what makes a warranty claim three years from now a phone call instead of a fight.
Property managers, General Contractor and owners
Backflow testing filed before the deadline, kitchen lines jetted on a schedule, and upfits bid to the sequence rather than the fixture count. We work outside your tenants' trading hours as standard.
What our customers say
“This company was recommended by a neighbor and I could not be more happy with the service they provided! When we realized we had a semi serious water heater problem, Open Water Plumbing was very responsive, not only with calls and text to help me ensure the problem did not get worse but also made it a priority to get to our home to repair the issue the next day. I would happily use them again, and the price was extremely reasonable! 5 star!”
“Jacek installed my outdoor built in kitchen, unclogged my toilet (my daughter flushed down a plastic bottle) and he finished a couple other small jobs for me. He was always on time. Very easy to work with. Even if you think something is not possible, better call him first, I am pretty sure he will find the solution.”

Frequently asked questions
What areas does Open Water Plumbing serve?
We serve Charlotte and South Charlotte NC, Union County — Waxhaw, Marvin, Weddington, Wesley Chapel, Indian Trail, Monroe and Matthews — plus Ballantyne, Pineville, and across the state line in Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Indian Land, Rock Hill, Lake Wylie and Clover SC. We are based in Fort Mill and licensed in both Carolinas.
Is Open Water Plumbing licensed and insured?
Yes — NC licence 34920 and SC licence RBP44457, with general liability and workers' compensation cover. We hold both state licences deliberately, because North Carolina and South Carolina license plumbing contractors separately and plenty of companies can only work one side of the line.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free, and you get a flat written price to approve before any work starts. There is no hourly meter running while we diagnose.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes, around the clock. After-hours and weekend work carries a call-out rate which we tell you on the phone before we dispatch — nothing is added afterwards. If your problem can honestly wait for a normal appointment, we will say so, because that is cheaper for you.
What signs mean I should call a plumber?
Low water pressure, slow or repeatedly clogged drains, water stains or damp patches, a sudden jump in your water bill, banging or gurgling pipes, or a foul smell from drains. Any of those is worth a call before it becomes a repair.
How soon can you get to me?
Same day in most cases, and we hold emergency slots open every day. When you call we give you a real arrival window rather than a vague one. Fort Mill, Tega Cay and Pineville get our fastest response because they are closest to the shop.
Water where it should not be?
Call us now — we hold emergency slots open every day, and we will tell you honestly whether it can wait.
